The brief
Architects are judged on restraint and detail, so their website has to show both. We set out to design a practice site where the work does the talking and the interface almost disappears.
Design direction
Hanken Grotesk at light weights sets a quiet, precise voice. Fragment Mono handles project data the way a title block does on a drawing.
A limewash and graphite palette with a single oxide accent refers to plaster, concrete and timber rather than screens.
Asymmetric layouts let images hold whole columns of white space. Captions, not slogans, explain the work.
